Upstairs At Helium: Caitlin Cook

Caitlin Cook is a LA-born, NYC-based comedian. Not your conventional stand-up, Caitlin Cook combines witty one-liners and scintillating storytelling with hilariously irreverent musical comedy and projected visuals. She has taken the stage all across the world at top-tier comedy clubs (The Comedy Cellar, The Stand, Comedy Works, ACME, Comedy on State), festivals (New York Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, High Plains Comedy Festival), theaters (The Dolby Theatre, Webster Hall, Thalia Hall, Soho Playhouse), venues (Littlefield, Union Hall, The Elysian, The Lyric Hyperion, The Bill Murray), dimly lit bar basements, strangers' living rooms, and even a houseboat once.

Cook has released two successful musical comedy albums, "Betty Pitch," which she recorded after writing 250 songs a day during the pandemic (amassing her over 100K TikTok followers), and "Zinger-Songwriter", which she recorded at 12 different venues while on tour across the US and UK. Both are regularly featured on Sirius XM. She made her directorial debut in 2021 at the Soho Playhouse with a sold out run of A.J. Holmes’ critically-acclaimed "Yeah, But Not Right Now." Cook also produces live comedy events around NYC including Good God (with Shane Torres and Tom Thakkar) and Fake Birthday (with A.J. Holmes). She is currently touring the "The Writing on the Stall," a one-woman bathroom stall graffiti musical, which will make its official debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Underbelly in August 2022.
