Special Event: Whose Turn Is It Anyway?
The night before PAX Unplugged, Helium Philly becomes the tavern at the edge of the multiverse. Hosted by Kiwi legend, Steve Wrigley, a stand-up comic, Dungeon Master, and the internet’s favorite TTRPG crowd wrangler. This one-night-only comedy show pits 2 teams against one another in a race to the biggest laughs. It’s fast, funny, and full of surprises, as Steve leads a PAX ready cast of comedians, creators, and tabletop misfits through a night of unscripted mayhem and fantasy-fueled banter. Just like Steve's stand up, the laughs will be drawn from the unique and wonderful culture of tabletop gaming.
Joining the party is team leader Jay Foster, the powerhouse behind Oops All Himbos and one of the most beloved voices in the TTRPG media space. Jay’s blend of razor-sharp wit and genre-bending humor makes him the perfect foil for whatever Steve throws at the panel. Whether you’re in town early for PAX or just riding a wave of pre-convention hype, this show is your perfect warm-up. Equal parts comedy, chaos, and critical hits. Come roll for initiative… or just roll with laughter. With more guests to be announced, come join us as we blow the unofficial whistle for the PAX Unplugged hype train. On Thursday Nov 20th dump your bags at the hotel then come join us at Helium Comedy Club. It's the party the night before Pax and you don't wanna miss it.
Our other team leader is Critical Role producer Kyle Shire, not only is Kyle a total D&D nerd to the core, he's an awesome stand up comic with releases through Comedy Dynamics and other big names in comedy publishing. Kyle and Jay are also joined by the one and only Ify Nwadewe, star and champion of the hit Dropout TV show Um Actually, Ify is a touring stand up and one of the best Magic the Gathering players in the game. Rounding out the squad is another stand up in the TTRPG space, Anica Cihla. Anica is a game designer which, combined with her ability to get a good laugh make her a formidable force on the Whose Turn stage.

We blew the roof off Philly before PAX Unplugged so now we’re bringing the chaos to Gen Con 2026. The night before the con, Helium Indianapolis becomes the tavern at the edge of the multiverse as Kiwi legend Steve Wrigley stand‑up comic, Dungeon Master, and the internet’s favorite TTRPG crowd‑wrangler returns with a one‑night‑only comedy brawl inspired by last year’s smash‑hit show.
Two teams enter. Only one leaves with bragging rights. It’s fast, funny, and gloriously unhinged as Steve leads a cast of comedians, creators, and tabletop misfits through a night of unscripted mayhem pulled straight from the culture of TTRPGs.
Also returning to the fray is team leader Jay Foster, the powerhouse behind Oops All Himbos and one of the most beloved voices in the TTRPG media space. Jay’s razor‑sharp wit and genre‑bending humor helped make the Philly show legendary and this Gen Con rematch promises even bigger laughs.
If you’re rolling into Indy early or just riding the pre‑con hype wave this is your official warm‑up. Comedy, chaos, and critical hits. More guests to be announced. Bags down, dice up. The night before Gen Con starts here.
